TubeBuddy Review - Are you going to be the next YouTube star?

Introduction

When I first started my YouTube channel Bill Dow’s – PMO & Project Management Skills I did not know what I was doing. I knew I wanted to share my background and experiences, and I thought YouTube was great for doing that to a larger audience.

TubeBuddy

See, my first video I loaded was September 7th, 2015, so that was a while ago and yes, it was not very good. But I loved sharing my message on how to build and run PMOs, so I was hooked on YouTube as a platform for me.

The channel is focused on my 30+ years of background and experience in the PMO and Project Management space, but check it out.

So, as I started to learn and grow on YouTube, I looked around and figurer out how I can improve. I look at YouTube coaches and hired a couple; I look at tools and what I found was there were only 2 big players on the market.

They included:

  • VidIQ
  • TubeBuddy

As I looked at the different tools, I saw there were free versions and I used them. I looked at what I liked and didn’t like and I quickly landed on TubeBuddy. I was using it on my channel for years and I highly recommend for really beginners like me.

Here are my thoughts and opinions on the tool, and yes, I have an Affiliate link below for this if you want to get started.

What is it?

If you are not sure what TubeBuddy is, well, let me tell you it is a suite of tools that can help YouTube creators improve their channels. It offers a variety of features, including:

  • Analytics tools to track your channel’s performance
  • Video editing tools to help you create better videos
  • Promotion tools to help you reach more viewers
  • Monetization tools to help you make money from your videos

So, it is a Chrome Extension that you install and connected to your YouTube account and then TubeBuddy sits onto of your YouTube channel, showing when you are in YouTube Studio. Here is what it looks like when installed on your channel. Here is a look inside:

You can see Tools, Messages, News and Milestones and then down the right hand side a series of Video tools. I love this tool and if you are going to produce videos on YouTube, you will find it super handy as well.

Tools such as Keyword explorer or SEO studio, really valuable. Look at all the tools, I am not going to do a run down of every tool, but I can tell you they are super valuable. I have seen a huge growth in my YouTube channel and I feel like TubeBuddy has been a great tool for that.

Now there is also the website side of the tool you get access to when you purchase the product. Let’s look at that now.

When you select on any of the tools available to you, the left-hand side of the webpage opens up and provides you with a variety of tools.

This is what that looks like when you hit Launch Pad for example.

So, as you can see here, there are a tremendous amount of tools and things you can do with TubeBuddy on your channel and, of course, depending on the subscription package you have, you will have more or fewer tools available. I just have the Pro Plan for now, but plan on upgrading soon.

Tube Buddy Pricing Plans

With pricing, you can go monthly and you can go yearly. You see three different options: Pro, Legend, and Enterprise. You see that there is a gap in pricing between Pro and Legend and believe that if you want to get to the next level on YouTube, you will make the investment in Legend. But, I say to get started, go with Pro, get yourself started first and see what you use and don’t use and then grow.

That’s all I got right now, short, sweat and a tool I highly recommend for anyone that wants to start to get more serious in YouTube.
