Hi everyone, I am really excited about this a fresh new course offering. It is called “Project Schedule / Time Management Best Practices Training” and it is ready to go. So, what do we cover, well let’s start with a look inside the course.

As you can see, there are 6 modules in this course that focus on the differences between Time and Schedule management. These modules are short and easy to consume but are jammed packed with information that will help you become a more effective project manager. 

Let’s breakdown each of these 6 modules now. 

Module 1: Project Schedule Management Best Practices Training – This is the course introduction and get you access to all the files and materials for the class. 

Module 2: Differences between Time Management and Schedule Management – In this module, we go over the simple differences between Time Management & Schedule Management. These two terms are often confused, so spend this video will cover the differences and how that is important for your projects.

Module 3: Deep Dive into Time Management – In this module, we take a fresh look at “Time Management” in much more details. We learn that time management is far-reaching and has much more impact on projects than we think.

Module 4: Deep Dive into Schedule Management – In this module, we Schedule Management. Not only do we go over the four major process steps, but we also cover sets of best practices around schedule management. The first is from Bruce Taylor, who has been scheduling project since the mid-70s and Bill Dow who has 30+ years of PMO and Project Management experience. 

We continue in this video with the importance of using a WBS, Sequencing activities, and three-point estimating. Finally, we give a light exposure to a variety of project scheduling tools.

Module 5: Three-Point Estimating – In this module, we take you through three-point estimating. A process that has been in place for years and is often the most accurate the project managers have been getting away from on today’s projects. We will look at this process again, cover some templates, and there will be an exercise that teaches you how this all works. 

Module 6: Course Summary – In this module, we wrap up the course. We take you through the course summary and provide you where you can get more information and contact information.
